They Couldn’t Let The Flame Go Out!

A Taste of who we are

With backgrounds in varying industries, a love for food and a passion for success, the new owners of Dough Mama Pizza emerged in September 2017.

Who Are the New Owners of Dough Mama Pizza?

Friends since the late 90’s, Josh Scott and Ryan Schmidt met through common interests and mutual friends. With history of working together at the start up out of college, Josh and Ryan remained connected through work, friendships and sports.

More about the three amigos:

Josh, a transplant from Utah, brings his devoted experience from the food and restaurant industry, starting in 1997, a knack for excellent customer service and prideful perfectionism. He has worked with mom-and-pop establishments such as Que Pasa in Phoenix, AZ to fine dining with the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, AZ.

Jarrett Ransom entered the picture in 2014 with a long history of serial entrepreneurship. Jarrett, originally from South Carolina, started her entrepreneur timeline as a pool cleaner in 2001, a pet sitter, nonprofit founder and has been running a successful nonprofit consulting firm with a national presence since 2009.

Ryan grew up in Kansas City (Missouri not Kansas :) and found his way to the Valley by attending Arizona State. After graduating, he co-founded two successful start up companies and eventually sold his shares in them to focus on other ventures with Dough Mama being one of them.  He is an entrepreneur at his core with the drive to improve process and precision.

Once this group heard that the previous owner, Steve Nagy, was selling his mobile pizza trailer, they knew that they couldn’t let the flame go out on this opportunity. "We wish to make the existing brand even better and more well known across the Valley!” added Scott.

The new owners of Dough Mama Pizza are keeping many things the same. The authentic Italian recipes have been shared from the previous owner and the beloved mascot “Mama” won’t be going anywhere either. “She’s too sexy, we have to keep her sass around!” shared Ransom.

The pizza trailer has hit the road and have several events already booked.  To inquire about having Dough Mama Pizza at your private event, festival or corporate party, contact them today.
